Peter's suggestion for a "FAV" site, or section of the AR website, is interesting and might be very useful, as it bridges the two types of purposes of the Tarboard and the AR site, and would preserve some of the more interesting discussions in a more accessible fashion than rooting through all the archive ZIPs.

Technically it could certainly be part of the AR website. Unlike the Tarboard, the AR site has an official relationship with TARS but I don't see how this would be objectionable. What it WOULD require is for somebody (and yes, Peter, I saw you volunteer) to go through the postings and build the "discussion" material, and also agreement from Ian and to whatever degree necessary from those who carry out these dialogues on the Tarboard.

If Peter or someone else does put the material together, I'd be happy to put up a new area on the AR site for the FAVs (perhaps we could find a better term? FRDs for Frequently Repeated Discussions?), hopefully linked off the home page (although that's getting rather full).

I can't commit to creating/editing the discussion material, but I will volunteer to convert the material to HTML, put up the web pages, and so forth.
