Andrew - if I remember aright, wasn't this book supposed to have been written by Dollman himself in his former life (before he became a German agent) ? If it is a real book, then what became of Lt. Messum in real life ? Obviously Childers was mixing fact and fiction in "The Riddle", but Lt.Messum would hardly have been flattered by being seen as the prototype for Herr Dollman !
Presumably it covers the rivers and backwaters featured in WD and SW - might be interesting to reproduce those sections for a TARS audience ?
