I found this book by Christina Hardyment in our TAMU library. Thank you for the recoomendation it was an excellent read.

Page 32 has some photographs including one of Swallow with AR sailing her in Rio Bay. Ed and I are writing an article on Swallow for the MM - slowly I admit. I would like to use the photograph, so does anyone know the email address for C Hardyment so I may ask permission to use the photograph in the article.

PS If you have not read the book it is a good read and every good a ripping yarn.

I have also found that there is a good description of Beckfoot in WH when the Doctor visits to look at Nancys' mumps. I almost thought it had solved the parlour problem but it was wrong, but it does give a good clue that the stairs lead away from the Creek and the front door faces the stableyard. There is also a note about the landing and the railing.

Anyway goto go and work.

John
