(In one book Nancy says to Peggy something along the lines of "I'll shiver your timbers for you!")

Think it's Swallows and Amazons when Peggy is prattling on a bit too much for Nancy's liking about Ruth and ruthless.

just recalled this :-

"Captain Nancy's "Shiver my timbers" is next to impossible to translate
into Japanese. Several equivalent (Japanese) old expressions of great surprise are used in Japanese translation of S&A stories.
One of them sounds "Buriki ni Tanuki ni Okajoki" literary means a tin and a raccoon dog and a steam engine."
