I got my NSW boat license many years ago. I wanted to get a new one at Christmas as I had let it lapse. When I went in I was told there was a 5 week wait for the test.

I could go to a seminar ($90 - from memory) and take the exam at the end of the seminar.

The NSW government is a past master at separating you from your cash. Actually after being in Texas you miss it cause you finally realize that it does control the rowdy element nicely.

The NSW police have a target of getting every driver at least once every three years or so the rumour goes. If I remeber a talk I went to once, the NSW police are the largest invoice issuing group in the world. (One million per year in a population of 4 million.
