When I was working in the Northern Territory of OZ back in 1977 you could buy a block of pressed tobacco. I am not sure if it was pressed in molasses. I bought my brother a block as a joke. He failed to see the humour, I think he wanted the bommerang I brought back.

I bought my then girlfriend a killing stick. A very long boomerang that does not return. Very heavy and designed to stun and kill kangeroos.
She was not impressed at all.

Chewing tobacco is very popular in Texas. Ah...... it's revolting.
