I remember reading, many moons ago, in an Arthur Ransome newsletter of some forgotten ilk, a piece of fan fiction where it is several years after the last story takes place and we see all the crowd somewhat grown up. I believe the story is a piece of dialogue between Titty and Susan. I can remember bits and pieces --Peggy and John now a couple, Roger being romantically flummoxed by a pair of twins (who the reader is led to understand are Port and Starboard), and at the end, Jim Brading entering as Susan's romantic interest-- but I can't recall all of it. I think I saw this referenced below, a couple weeks back, in a discussion of Timothy and Nancy becoming a couple. Does anyone know if this piece of fan fiction is archived anywhere on line, and if so, where? I would dearly love to find it.
Incidentally, in regards to Timothy and Nancy's ages being arguably incompatible, my father and his second wife are 27 years apart --and they became an item when she was 16. They had no prior business or student/teacher connections, she was just the "girl next door" who grew up.
Sorry to drag people back to an old thread and an old subject, but the weather finally broke and I had my sloop to get in the water, so have been distracted by varnish and bottom paint. Any help finding that piece of fan fiction would be wonderful.
