What oft I thought, but ne'er so well expressed!

Just some more examples; one of the most loved episodes in the books is that of Titty and Roger going under the bridge in SD; this is pure make believe play and many of us have done something very similar. By SW Titty is making a real map as accurately as she can - this is a focussed activity of quite a different type.

In PP Nancy is the leader, but in SW John, who has had a very maturing experience a few days earlier, is the leader and Nancy is wanting to play savages - anyone reading this now thinks of William Golding, which of course we should try not to do!

By GN the team have become altogether more serious, and undertake a really quite adult task.
