On our recent week in Lakeland, we found Red Fox pb's available at 2.95 at the Grasmere toyshop/bookshop, and the 'half-price' bookshop opposite the new shopping mall IN Ambleside ( 2 doors to the right from the regular climbing etc bookshop). You need to go to both to get all 12. (The Ambleside shop has lots of 1/2 price Lake country and general books). OT, I would also recommend (i) a trip to the Keswick Lakeside theater if you like either of the 2 plays there-- (eat first or take food, as the sidewalks roll up at 9pm in Keswick)
(ii) The new Gardens at Brantwood based on Dante's Inferno (a Ruskin idea finally realised).
