I feel that the current passion for safety above all else, and secondly cleanliness, could be a deterrent to adventure. I also recognise that to lose a child is a soul-shattering experience, so that I can understand where the passion for safety comes from. However, there are degrees of observance, and I think that there should be a place for adventure, as well as for training children that they are not immortal. I suppose that the S&As would be classed as "ferals" nowadays.
