I'm posting this on behalf of TARSUS member Joy Shaver.
In the 2002 mystery novel "And Justice There Is None" by Deborah Crombie, on page 285 there is reference to a missing will found folded into "an illustrated copy of Arthur Ransome's "Swallows and Amazons."
Ms. Crombie notes that the copy is "illustrated" although it is not germane to the story. Joy also observes that Deborah Crombie lives in Texas, but bases her stories in England where she lived for some years.
I assume from the reference to "illustrated" that it wasn't a first edition, although the mystery is silent on whose illustrations were in the book.
