I enjoyed the mentions in Hugh Brogan's biography of AR walking across Woodhouse Moor and the like
as did I - like AR I was Botany/Zoology department which I guess was in the same place in mid 70s as during ARs's time - and like AR I left early feeling somewhat misplaced.
(I think she said it was at the Brotherton ?).
one of my few visits to the Brotherton was up the steps on a Triumph T110
