If you think it is bad in England - try the MidWest of the USA - they are so attached to the Imperial system you'd think they had lost the war.

Bu then again the US people like throwing 165 million dollar (220 million pints of milk) - see it's a days milk money for the USA into the side of distant planets cause the scientist could not tell the difference between 32 ft/sec(sq) and 9.81 m/sec(sq)

Of course I am biased I think one uses the system that gives fewest mistakes and hence deaths

But what the heck.
