Just received my copy of Jibbooms and Bobstays and would like to say it is very enjoyable book, especially in that it is those small details that I feel the essence of AR books. Apart from the good plots and excellent characterization, it is those details as a key that lead us back to AR's world, and we can remember enjoying Ransome-ish holidays in the real modernized world.
In addition, this book is SO helpful for me to enjoy AR's books in original English edition. The Japanese translation is very very good and it all started from there, but it is another pleasure to realize how it is written in the original text.
