My ship is named the MARGOLETTA, and is a Canoe Cove 42 (yes, a stink pot), made in (and still made) in Sidney, BC. After six progressively bigger sailboats from an Albacore to a 35'Taiwan cutter, it was time to seek comfort, room, light, and central heating. However, the MARGOLETTA isn't crewed by Hullabaloos - it gives way to sailboats, doesn't leave a wake near others, and follows all environmental regulations (unlike the Goblin). Docking is a big problem as it offers lots of windage, and even when I am close enough to climb off and tie up, by the time I get down from the bridge deck, the damn thing has drifted off again. I've found the best docking plan is to get as close as possible, then honk the horns. and quickly lots of fellow boaters appear ready to take lines, and/or push it off so as to protect their own ships.
