I agree that generally the Buchan novels leave women out , but the Girl in McNab and I can not remember her name at 8 in the morning before the caffeine hits and Fish Benjy are two of the best characters ever and just as good as any Ransome created. Buchan can be accused of sticking with what he knew and not writing with woman included, but writing the part of a woman can be hard.
