Well, Peter, I was introduced to the AR series by my elder brother when I was about nine years old. He used to give me a book for my birthday and another for Christmas. I was born in England and moved to Canada when I was 12, and took the books with me. That accounts for the popularity of AR's works with this Canadian. My local public library has three of his books, and I think most Canadian libraries would have at least an equal number. He
is known to the cognoscenti, but that's about all.
