It being assumed that I would deploy to the island with all of AR's writings bound with Canadian duct tape I will recommend the following. It is called "The Water In Between (A Journey at Sea)" by Kevin Patterson. This is a story of an Army doctor that runs away to buy a boat and sail to Tahiti. This study of self and others is bound together by sail adventure and knowledge. I've been through it 3 times so far. It was published by Vintage Canada, A Division of Random House Canada in 1999.
