Mandarin written how? Chinese pictographs? Old form or mainland simplified? In either case the question is probably meaningless.
There is also a roman alphabet transliterative alphabet in use in China; I've seen it but don't remember if it has accent marks or not, and I'm not a Chinese scholar.
