Just kidding. Yes, I can get the World Service on my shortwave and our public radio station plays a BBC World Service broadcast once or twice a day (half-hour, I believe). By the way, we used to receive a BBC news report as an LP each week when I was in college hanging around the campus radio station in the early 80s.

But I prefer the internet broadcasts of the BBC channels because I can listen to a much wider array of programs, including sporting events (except the Premier League - have to pay extra for that now, more's the pity), music programs, and readings.
