For all you classic boat builders out there, I saw in a magazine an annual summer event here in NZ - a classic boat show.
It's held annually in St Arnaud up in the Nelson Lakes district of the South Island and seems to have enthusiastic boat restorers and builders aplenty. In the magazine they had some of the stories behind boats - a yawl, a punt, a clinker, a canoe, runabouts and anything powered by old Seagulls, Evinrudes and Eltos, but in the background I saw a number of small sailing dinghies very like the Lake ones. There was also a steam launch with a Windermere steam kettle for the necessary cuppas!
