Give her a chance! She is young, and at least she writes copiously and imaginatively, corny though it may be. Compare what she produces with the sort of writing produced by most children of her age today (and probably then) - and at least she spells it accurately. Given greater maturity and wider reading as she gets older she would get there.
But I still think she would have finished up as a lawyer, and a good one too.
