Dear All:

Just to put a different note on the issue of TARS, I joined after I found this board and as a result I have had access to a great range of additional literature and got to meet some very nice people.

We all disagree at times, and I remember my five year stint as President of a small preschool (about 200 families in NSW). The arguments were never ending but fun at times. We had one legal battle and that takes it out of you mentally.

We have a right to belong to TARS as you have a God given right not to belong. I respect your right not to belong and several members of my family perished fighting for that right in the last century against Fascist regimes. No organization exists without rules and methods and they are dreary and boring but we need to have them to protect the interests of all people with interest in a group.

Would the world be worse of if TARS did not exist, well my world would be as I would not get asked to make pictures of Scarab by harried editors nor have the joy of arguing with Ed about Beckfoot nor trying to sketch it for Mixed Moss. Finally the interesting elements are the nice emails I get from people who read the board but rarely respond thru the board.

So I respect your right, but please respect mine.

PS I just finished Shadow of the Sands, not as good as the original - but still a damn good read.
