This is obviously just my opinion but I think it's all simply getting out of proportion. This applies all ways and isn't just addressed to Peter H.
Surely we're all here because we get pleasure from reading Ransome's books? The point of posting here is to enjoy it. We're not occupying Iraq; we're exchanging impressions and suggestions about the object of our mutual interest and pleasure. For that reason I'm grateful that TARS and Tarboard exist.
I've been reading slightly venemous comments about the TARS infighting here. I know nothing about it and frankly, beyond the normal gruesome attraction of a car crash seen as you drive past, it's not been that interesting. Surely the best thing is to leave it be. Accept that some people see it that way. That's it.
I think the short short short stories have been great fun; I'm sorry Peter H wanted to withdraw his contribution but that's his choice.
