I am writing an item for The Outlaw on "We Didn't Mean to Go to Sea" which obviously will have to suit the age of the junior Tars. However, I also have some more native ideas about the book (which wouldn't suit The Outlaw) that I am thinking of writing about. The ideas I have a more literary and psychological than practical and seamanlike. Before I go re-inventing the wheel, I would like to read any other articles, essays etc about the book that have already been written. I have read Hugh Brogan's biography, Christine Hardyment's "Capt Flint's Trunk", and Roger Wardale's book on Nancy Blackett. Does anyone know of anything else written about the book? Please let me know.
