Roger for some reason has the reputation of unbelievability, and yet what it really is not a case of being untrustworthy, but just willing to play a joke perhaps, or kid around. Roger is a genius at 'dumb insolence' and will clearly have a brilliant career in the coming War, as dumb insolence is the greatest weapon of the downtrodden against their oppressors- especially of the other ranks against their officers. "But of course I'm carrying out your orders to the letter."
