"especially when you consider how many major characters these twelve stories have in them."
How many characters are mentioned in the books?
How many recur across books?
How many are major characters?
How does one define "Major" characters?
Are any characters normally considered "minor", actually essential to the plot and does this make them defacto "major" characters i.e. the bus driver talking about Jim Brading's accident in WDMTGTS?
