Ed:

Thanks for the file,
I have always used "till" as a preposition and I am attacked in all my writing reviews as "poor word choice" use until.

I have been reading SA out loud to my 9 year old daughter, we get through about 2 pages a night. The English is really different if you read it slowly than if you read it at 700 wpm. But I noticed that Ransome used "till" a lot and I am sure this is where I learned the use of the word.

Ed: Now do a search on until, and I bet it is not so profilic.

By the way: my American wife says I use words she does not understand and yet I find them in Ransome as I read. Interesting problem remove from your vocabulary words that have always seemed common.

Anne had problem with my use of the word "impost" to mean an economic "burden" on the community that may be unreasonable. I thought that was a reasonable use.
