We have a double standard, we slaughter thousands of cows every hour, I accept that - it is just interesting philospically the difference. I eat meat, but I would refuse on principal to eat whale or dolphin or turtle - but I can not rationally explain why except that those animals are more valuable to me alive? Killing a whale slowly seems worse than killing a cow quickly?
