I would dearly love to be able to go through the reverse translation, whether on just a personal basis or in some sort of official role. I'm sure there are others that are just as familiar with the many details of these wonderful stories, as we are a group of those that are proud to say we have reread these adventures many times, and love to dig out these details again and again.

All I ask is that I not be asked to type in these translations. Been there; done that; got the T-shirt. But if I had my preferences, if asked to review these translations, I would prefer they be in machine readable format rather than a collection of printed pages, but then, that is just the computer bigot in me speaking. This however is hardly a mandadory requirement. Ransome in any format is still a worth while experience to be enjoyed again and again.

It would be fascinating to see what shifts in meaning had resulted in the two translations. I had enough of those shifts just trying to translate the language of Ransome into good 'ol American English so I could understand it.
