This story hints of my family and myself so much. I read three of the books as a teenager. Nothing then happened much until the film appeared on TV. All my kids fell in love with it. Since then I have moved to NE England and visit the Lakes regularly. The kids who only saw the film have now bought some of the books. We have a little boat (with a motor) and try to go to Wildcat every year (one of my kids found it whilst on holiday with a friend). I too have a target to learn to sail but it might have to wait a bit yet. Be nice to meet up there one day.
