'The youth of today...' etc etc. Was it the elderly Socrates or Plato who was complaining about the habits of their fellow citizens some 2400 years ago? I'll bet the adaptive nature of the language was part of the complaint as well.
I don't necessarily agree with some of the language out there but one only has to look at their own youth to blush a little. I see language as a growing thing - whether it grows in the direction we approve of means little as long as it is used. Use it as you see fit, just as everyone else does Peter.
