Titty does not like worms, espescially not lugworms, such as she found under the wet sacking in the cigar box in the sternsheets of the Mastodon's boat in SW. Eel babbing involves threading a lot of worms onto a hook to make something like a cowslip ball, which she finds nauseating, and she suspects that she will find a lugworm on Bill's hook in PD - but of course his hook was un-baited since he was only pretending to fish.
