Dear Tarboard,

I am in the early planning stages of building a replica of Tom's little sailing boat, the Titmouse, and was wondering how much the members new of her.

I have been a fan of the two books by AR, that include Titmouse, for many years.

I have built or been a partner builder a number of small and large boats in the past, and I live very close to the river Thames, where I intend to use her.

I know of many boats named after the Titmouse, but none that are a correct Replica, or if such a thing can be done from the limited descriptions that are available. I already know that the boat used in the two BBC films is not correct, in hull design, size or rig. So I am tapping every avenue I can think of, for known facts and personal opinions as well.

Any information and thought that the members here have about her design and fitting would be greatfully received.

I would also like to keep a photo diary of the build, and would enjoy sharing this with the members.

Very best wishes, and thanks in advance,
Vincent Alan John
