I have often wondered what IS it about water that attacts us so much?
Go through any holiday literature and 99% of the pictures involve -the sea, beaches, cliff top walks, hotel pools, trout fishing rivers, sailing, canals, even skiing is on frozen water. Very rarely we get pony trekking or mountaineering - but all the other recreational pastimes involve water. Any theories?
