Geraint and Helen's boat, the 'Peggy Blackett', is actually not a replica of Amazon, but of Ransome's Coch-y-bonddhu, which he owned for some 35 years - longer than any other boat and which hwe put into the books, or one of them, as 'Scarab'. PB was built by Ullapool Boatbuilders and I believe she appears in the BBC's short TV documentary about the making of the Swallows and Amazons film
