Yes, I was indeed last seen in Japan, I'm back in New Zealand again but I've been rather busy and off-line for a few years. I shouldn't really have left without saying goodbye, my membership and energy just sort of lapsed. It's always nice to be involved at the start of Something Big and it's also nice to move on. I felt a sort of closure as the Kerfuffle resolved itself [and let's not go back there] then the Ship's Baby disembarked and I left my dear, funny tarry mates in Japan for the last time. And Something Else Big came up: wife and kids. It is wonderful to see the whole AR thing doing so nicely: I still remember doing the Internet search for Arthur Ransome and coming up with "0 hits" -- and thinking to myself "someone ought to..."
So I won't be getting back involved but if any of my old tarry shipmates are down this way, feel free to drop in for a cup of tea:
