Ah, but . . .
I'm currently under 5 miles from the Yellow Brick Road that I've walked through Oz from where Dorothy's house landed post-tornado. And it's in Beech Mountain, NC. Backe in the late '60s or early '70s a "Land of Oz" theme park was opened there. The area's currently owned by an Oz aficionado who's restoring the old buildings and selling off peripheral lots for the Emerald Mountain community. Every October, it's opened to the public again with Oz-related guests.

And no, Australia wasn't "Oz" - Dorothy and her Uncle Henry were sailing there to visit some relatives at the start of Ozma of Oz.
