Think I remember that dig, Andrew. Was it between CRGS new dining hut and Harsnet House on 4th June 1943? I remember a lot of bits of bone, and thick red Samian ware. Nothing much else. But on the Lexden playing fields they found a fine votive tablet. Geoff Martin, who wrote the CRGS history, is still there,and George Young who taught me English. If I've got the right school.
