I imagine Nancy would have been a Signals instructor for the Royal Navy (ref. Cdr. Walker in Secret Water "Right under our very noses. That young woman should be teaching signals" or words to that effect.) She probably was also handling a rescue boat at Dunquerque.

Roger's probable affinity for aviation has been previously suggested, although I hold for Fleet Air Arm rather than RAF. I also like the suggested story line of John, on the Murmansk run, rescuing Bob Blackett, thought by his colleague and brother-in-law to have been lost on a mission (fighting for the White Russians? espionage?) in Russia after the Great War.

I also like the idea of Dick as a boffin. With his inclination toward tinkering though, I think either radar or weapons development the more likely areas.

Might Susan have gone into medicine? I rather see her as a nurse. I can visualize Titty working with the SOE (someone had to come up with those cryptic messages used via the BBC to signal the Resistance!). I admit to having no clue as to what Peggy might have done, but Ransome didn't really give her a chance to blossom like he did the others.
