On my way up to the Ullapool AGM, I cam across a Marine Super Integrating Bubble Sextant in an antique shop in Benderloch, near Oban
"The sextant is for use in observing altitudes of celestial bodies when the natural horizon is obscured, the place of the natural horizon being taken by a bubble system collimated to infinity"
It's made by Kelvin, Bottomley & Baird Ltd and Henry Hughes & Son Ltd, associated as Marine Instruments Ltd, Glasgow and London. As far as I could tell, it is complete. Anyone interested should contact Mrs Marie Lipp, The Antiquarium, Benderloch, Argyll, tel: 01631 720 307
