How common is it for a young girl to have an imaginary friend who is an old man? That always struck me as a bit odd about Peter Duck. Though the reader is unaware of it until he or she has read both SD and PD, as there's nothing in PD to suggest that Peter is anyone's imgainary friend, and if I remember correctly, nothing in SD to suggest he's an old man.
