If you go to the Statistics page, choosing a particular state or province will show all the different "other" responses received, some of which are fairly long-winded:

This as a conclusion? “People who say "Pop" are much, much cooler." All I have to say is that when you say pop, You have to scrunch your butt up really tight you might bite a hole in the seat if your not careful, and over pronounce the O sound. i.e...... I’d like a bottle of pOp, By the way pop is my father, And if its slang then I'm sorry, At least I knowhow to spell every word in my sentences correctly. Unlike you people who say “pop”,with your misspelled words. Also It is common knowledge here in the “Bible Belt” that God talks like us, as in If God were to walk in out of the blue, he would not say I’d like a bottle of pop, or soda , He would say “Give me one of those coca colas from over there”, and it would be done. But seriously, it doesn’t matter what you say, potato, patato. It always stirs up conversation, and that my friends is a beautiful thing.
Example chosen for length, not in support of the content!

I see that North Carolina (not surprisingly) has a contingent which considers "pepsi" the generic (and at least one person who uses "beer"!).
