To be pedantic again, Nancy and Peggy had lived at the foot of Kanchenjunga all their lives and yet it apparently hadn't occurred to either to climb it.
It was actually Titty's idea.
And the way Nancy chose to do it was really pretty incompetent andver nearly led to a tragedy.
