Surely it started and was described by Francis Chichester as "The Way of the Clipper Ships" - ours, not yours.

Out to Australia round the Cape of Good Hope and back round Cape Horn.

The only change is to miss Australia as well.

Did Yankee Clippers ever actually go round Good Hope?
