Beat me to it Richard, I was just about to post that there is only one Ford Prefect - where would Arthur Dent be without him?!
A totally non-AR side issue here, why was Ford (a USA company) always held in such high regard in the UK when other non-British car makers were always spoken of with such disdain etc. I have even heard people who work for them talk as though it was British company!
