I should ignore any railway inspired geography. It was not so long ago, under the aegis of Network South East, the the good citizens of Exeter were deemed to be in the Thames Valley - much to the suprise of some of them who thought that they were living in Devon!
Anglia is the place where the Angles lived and may still do so - any recent sightings of an Angle? (Apart from obtuse ones)!
