Excellent weather and company made for a superb weekend for all those who attended the Southern Region camping weekend at Cobnor in the Chichester harbour area between the 17th and 19th July.

There was plenty of opportunity for relaxing, walking and general chat. About 55 attended with around half camping overnight while the remainder visisted for the day.

A campfire and corroboree were held on Saturday evening preceeded by the now customary sacrifice of one of the younger members as a very willing Brigit while the other youngsters danced around chanting in a convincingly eel like manner.

One group helped out cleaning and polishing Nancy Blackett while she was moored in Northney Marina at Langstone on the Saturday afternoon while Sunday gave several members the opportunity to help sail Nancy from Langstone to Cobnor and back. Most people who wanted came aboard Nancy while she was moored in the channel off Cobnor Point.

Nancy Blackett now continues her tour along the south coast. For more information see Nancy Blackett Dates.
