While it is true that Q and hard C- and K names are common in the island, Quayle, Qualtrough, Quine, Quilliam, Crellin, Corkish, Kissack etc. etc. all stemming from the Mac or Mc prefix, we Quinans are not Manx. The name is actually Irish, but it probably had a similar origin.
