So is there some magic that I can invoke (without having to download nasty virusy stuff) to convert the capital "L" with a bar through it that I see on this PC to the nice pound sign that everybody else is seeing.
If you can give me the right spell I will wear sackcloth and ashes for a week and go around with a billboard saying Windoze is Best.
